I Woke Up This Morning Felt A Lumb In My

I woke up this morning felt a lumb in my throat and it radiated to the back roof of my mouth then I started spitting up blood. I could hardly breath at first. I sucked on some Ice and it stopped bleeding. Went to ER and the dr gave me the diagnosis of odynophasia but stated he couldn't see the lump. My BP also was up like 183/99 my question is what would cause it. I still am having a little irritation on my throat wspecially when I eat
