I Woke Up This Morning With A Urinary Tract Infection,

I woke up this morning with a urinary tract infection, as best I can tell. Frequent, painful urgent urination that has gotten worse as the day has progressed. I noticed a few minutes ago that there is blood in my urine each time.

We are having a blizzard here and I called my doctor a few minutes ago when I saw the blood. I am waiting for a call back but will not be able to get there today. I doubt he will write a Rx without seeing me, although I could walk to a Walgreens for an antibiotic.

What can I do at home to get rid of this infection? One been drinking a lot of cranberry juice on water.
