I Wore Too Rigid Custom Orthotics For 5 And 1/2

I wore too rigid custom orthotics for 5 and 1/2 years resulting in knee pain and grinding. Therefore I was diagnosed with OA 3 years ago. Unfortunately the orthopedic doctor did not look at my orthotics so I continued to wear them andother 2 and 1/2 years. However 6 months ago an orthotist told me I was wearing too rigid orthotics and fitted me with new custom orthotics. As soon as I stopped wearing the riged orthotics the grinding in my knees stopped completely. However I still have knee pain from the damage already done. I take glucosamine chondroitin, exercise, etc. Is it possible to restore and build my joint fluid? I have been reading about viscosupplementation and have seen reviews resulting in complications and little or no success.
