I Would Like To Know If It Is Possible To

I would like to know if it is possible to have a receded hairline from childhood. Cause I have certain pictures of myself when I was in the 5th standard or even lower, well I found those pics recently but I have been on minoxidil for sometime suggested by my dermatologist. But I do have thick hair though just recession at the temple which I seem to have had like forever. I am concerned whether I should continue with the medicines or not. Thanks in advance.
