I would like to know if you could recommend a medication that I
would share with my PCM at the Naval hospital. I am a stroke survivor.
I lost a portion of my vision a few years ago, but never like this.
I have suffered migraine headaches- since my youth.
I am currently prescribed Propranolol 80mg to help aid
my headaches and the heart episode that I experienced
on August 23, 2015. I have undergone the nuclear testing, and
the cardiologist said that he found a small section at the
top of my left ventricle - a dead spot and that I should not worry. He
told me that I was to get to a hospital immediately if
I experience another episode as I had in August, 2015.
I am sometimes slow in my thought process; nevertheless,
I want to me smart and I want to live. I am a senior woman, and I realize
that the Navy hospital is a teaching hospital. My husband is
a retired naval officer, and this is the only
health care that we have.
I will be seen again at my PCM on the 24th of this month
with my new routine labs reports;
is there something that you can suggest that I
mention to her that she can prescribe to help with
these awful headaches everyday. The Propranolol
is not working to ease the pain even a little.
Ultram and Maxalt (rizatriptan) did not work.
