I Would Like To Know What Your Reommendation Would Be

I would like to know what your reommendation would be for next course of action on of the following:
I am a 65 yr old female that lives I Houston, TX. I have seasonal allergies to ragweed & on a daily dose of 10 mg of loratadine & use Nasacort. In late November I had a typical flare up that cleared up in about 10 days with exception of the cough. Early February I began to have similar symptoms again. I continued my daily dose of loratadine & began using my Netti Pot. Again, everything cleared up but the cough. On February 20th I went to my primary care doctor but saw the PA. She prescribed 100 mgs doxycycline bi-daily, benzonatate 100 mgs 2 @ 3 times daily, plus mucinex. Further, she sent me to have chest x-rays. The results were compared to some taken in 2007 & were as follows:
- Since previous study there is integral worsening in hyperinflation of the lungs. There is flattening of 1 of the posterior costophrenic angles and a small effusion cannot be completely excluded. No discrete patchy densities are seen. Atelectati and some scarring is seen in both spices and bases. Heart size is normal.
IMPRESSION:
1. No acute patchy densities
2. Interval worsening of hyperinflation.
3. Scarring and atelectasis seen in apices and bases.
4. Suspected small posterior costophrenic angle pleural effusion.
