INTERPRETATION:

Motion artifact degrades image quality and limits interpretation of
the left shoulder.

Glenohumeral joint: There is no fracture or bone marrow edema. The
alignment is normal. There is no focal cartilage defect. There is
no effusion or synovial thickening.

Acromioclavicular joint: There is mild acromioclavicular degenerative
joint disease.

Rotator cuff and bursae: There is tendinopathy of the supraspinatus
tendon with a focal high-grade tear of the anterior fibers.The
infraspinatus, teres minor and subscapularis tendons are intact.
There is no asymmetric muscle atrophy. There is trace subacromial and
subdeltoid bursitis.

Biceps tendon and glenoid labrum: The biceps tendon is normal in
appearance. The labrum is unremarkable.

Soft tissues: There is localized subcutaneous fluid/edema at the
posterior aspect of the shoulder overlying the deltoid muscle that is
likely related to known recent steroid injection.
