I'am Not Sure If I Swallow A Staple While Doing

I'am not sure if I swallow a staple while doing office work. I laid my bread in the table where I took off some staples in the paperworks. Then when I pick my bread I saw at the bottom part is a staple. How do you feel if you swallow a staple and what do I do?
