If I Stop Eliquis After Cleared Lung Clots, How Long Does It Stay In My Body, And Should I Take Aspirin Temporarily?

I no longer need Eliquis and my doctor said to stop. Previously, I had blood clots in the lungs. A CT scan confirmed they are gone. I understand stopping cold turkey can be done. 1) How long does the effect of Eliquis remain in the body? 2) Could 81 mg of aspirin be useful for a period of time? Thanks
