If I Take 1 Omeprazole Every Single Day, I Have

If I take 1 Omeprazole every single day, I have zero acid reflux from a diagnosed hiatal hernia. I've heard it's bad to take it daily for years so have tried other things. Problem is, I'm having to take "other things" all day long to combat the reflux. Is it OK to take Omeprazole EVERY day?
