If A Man Of 22 Years With No Other Disease

If a man of 22 years with no other disease of any kind and healthy except that he has some symptoms of diabetis, no high blood pressure, but has macular drusen, and is later diagnosed with type 1 diabetis, would it be likely that the macular drusen is due to diabetis when he was young.
