If I Drink Water In The Evening. I Cough Up

If i drink water in the evening. I cough up a watery phlegm at night. Or water comes out my nose at night then I start coughing . No bile taste, Is it something in the esophagus that is the problem not letting the water go down. What can be done to fix this
