If In Worst Case A Scenario My Pelvic Inflammatory Disease

If in worst case a scenario my pelvic inflammatory disease is cause by an std just how carefull do I have to be in the same household with an elderly lymphoma patient?
I'm abroad and don't have easy access to a health care professional so I am just looking at the worst case scenario that would include the symptoms I have, my fear is hurting the lymphoma patient.
