If There Is No History In One's Family Of Prostate

If there is no history in one's family of prostate cancer and if rectal exams indicate no problems then is it reasonable to do a biopsy "just to make certain" every thing is okay? I am 78 years old. Slightly enlarged prostate but it is not a problem for me and I wake up usually a couple of times at night to pee -- but, I get plenty of sleep. I don't want a biopsy if it might cause more harm than is necessary....
