I'm 18 Years Old And I Have Only Recently Been

I'm 18 years old and I have only recently been noticing that the right underside of my tongue and near my tonsils are very sore when I move my tongue or swallow. I have also noticed it may look a little swollen and the veins on the sides of my tongue look almost black. I do have a frenelum piercing so I thought that maybe could be contributing. What could this be?
