I'm 40, No Kids, Nor Do I Want Them. Have

I'm 40, no kids, nor do I want them. Have a paragard worked great 6 years, now long periods more then 16 days, I've decided to have taken out in exchange for tubal. My GYN only removes the tubes, not burning, clamping or any other method. I'm having a D&C, an ablation and the removal same time. Can I still get pregnant? My paragard has been a 100% fail proof and I want the sane is this the best option?
