I'm 46 And Only 2 Years Ago Became Aware Of

I'm 46 and only 2 years ago became aware of the clitoris hood. As such I wasn't pulling it back to clean my clitoris in the shower. The left side of the hood seems fused to the clitoris and under the right side I'm sure there's a small fused area. Therefore I can't pull back the hood. It's difficult for me to clean under the hood becuase of this and sometimes it stings and I manage fo remove some smegma from the right side.

I'd like to be able to pull back the hood as I've read it's supposed to. What are my options seeing as the left side seems totally fused to the clitoris?
