I'm 49 And I've Been Taking Regividon (levonorgistrol) For A

I'm 49 and I've been taking regividon (levonorgistrol) for a couple of years which regulated my period. recently the doctor told me to stop taking it as it was provoking the growth of mioma. But without regividon the new menstruation didn't seem to stop so I came to the doctor again and she gave me another pill called norkolut (noretisteron) to start the process of stopping the menstruations. The first one stopped but the next one came again after a week of the end of the previous one. Was norkolut the correct solution or should I just be patient and wait until menopause will come naturally, suffering from bleeding?
