I'm 53 And Had A PSA Result Of 8.5. 9

I'm 53 and had a PSA result of 8.5. 9 months ago, I had a PSA result of 7. Did a biopsy 9 months ago and it came back negative. Now, the Dr. suggested I have an MRI done and then he will perform another biopsy utilizing the MRI. I'll have to be put under for the procedure. Of course, I'm nervous about the whole thing. Does this sound like a good course of action to take? I've been reading a lot but there is so much conflicting information, I don't know if I should just listen to the Dr. and go from there. What are your thoughts?
