I'm 56 Now, Back In 1965. I Had A Condition

I'm 56 now, back in 1965. I had a condition with my hip whereas the ball of the femur did not mature or was soft from what I can remember it was very painful, so I had to where a brace from hip to ankle for a year and half. Now today that same pain is back. No matter what I do to rest it(laying down, sitting) still painful. Would this be a labral tear possibly? The pain came on gradually.
