I'm 60 Years Old, See My Family Doctor Semi-annually For
I'm 60 years old, see my family doctor semi-annually for a check up and just had an excellent check up on December 3, 2015. I do take a blood pressure pill once daily and a once daily cholesterol pill as well as 100 mg of tramadol at bedtime for chronic lower back pain. I'm 5'4" tall and weigh approx. 170 lbs. I have never had and serious health conditions of any type and have been a regular (every 8 wks) blood doner for approx. 25 yrs. I went for a blood donation this morning and everything checked out okay (BP was 120/70) until they checked my pulse and said that my heart was skipping a beat once every 3-5 beats and therefore would not allow me to donate. I did not sleep well last night and along with my tramadol had taken a doze of Nyquil and a 25mg Xanax tablet. Would that possibly cause the skipping heart beats and if not would you have any idea what might be causing it? I have never had this issue in the past?
