Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I'm a 35 year old male 5'8 and 12 stone. I am reasonably active and healthy. I don't smoke or take drugs but up until the last few months when my problems started I did binge drink quite a lot at weekends. I have a sharp pain in my lower right abdomen just below my naval towards the surface. It feels as though I was stabbed with a small blade. I've had this for over a month and preceding that I had lower back and flank pain also right side but a duller sensation like kidney ache when you badly need to urinate. I also have a prickly pins and needles sensation in my lower abdomen, groin and even in my upper right thigh, this has intensified of late and is constant. Occasionally I get a sudden sharp pain in my groin, again on the right side. I have a small (pee sized) lump above my naval just a few inches above the sharp pain and a slightly larger one just under my ribcage on the left side. Neither are particularly painful and are about the same consistency as a testicle. I've been to a GP who suspected kidney stones and sent me for an ultrasound which came back clear. I sometimes feel fatigued and drowsy and over the last few days I've been constipated. I dont have any nausea. I don't have pain when I urinate or blood in my urine. My stool seems normal when I'm not constipated with no sign of blood or discoloration. I do get blood around my anus from tears in the skin but this is common for me over the last 10-15 years. None of the pain described is completely debilitating, at worst a four out of ten but it is a constant discomfort with almost no let up in the last month or two.
