I'm A 42 Years Old Female. I Haven't Had Intercourse

I'm a 42 years old female. I haven't had intercourse in 6 months until Monday (2 days ago ) after there was light pink discharge and now I'm fully bleeding bright red and enough to require a pad. It's not the same blood as a menstrual cycle. I get tested for STD and require the same from any partner Should I be concerned?
