Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I'm a 44 year old female and weigh 170 at 5'6". I work at a desk job and mostly sedentary. I started playing in adult volleyball league once a week. My heart rate is high after tonight's volleyball game. I've been resting for an hour and my heart feels like it's beating out of my chest, plus I'm having shortness of breath, and a little dizziness. Ten years ago I was diagnosed with supra ventricular tachycardia, but haven't had an episode in at least four years. I've self induced coughing in hope that would slow my heart rate... It has helped a little. I took a baby aspirin just in case. What should I do from here?
