I'm A 51 Year Old Male, Former Pack A Day

I'm a 51 year old male, former pack a day smoker (22 years ago) who was diagnosed with High Grade Urotheial Bladder Carcinoma (3-4 CM Tumor) I choose not to seek further treatment and let it run its course.
Possible candidate for Cystectomy in which I do not want to live like that (Very active, Hiking, Biking)
Why can't my Doctor leave it at that? It's my decision
