I'm A 55 Yr Old Woman. I Have Diabetes &

I'm a 55 yr old woman. I have diabetes & high blood pressure but they are under control. I have been noticing over the past couple of months that my veins in my forearms are "popping out" & I am not exercising. They were enlarged this morn even a co-worker commented on them & my husband noticed a while back while I was getting ready for work. Now this afternoon they are normal looking after being noticeable this morn. Even when the veins are large they never hurt or itch. What could be causing this & is it something I need to have checked?
