I'm A 71-year-old Male Experiencing A Foul Smell In My

I'm a 71-year-old male experiencing a foul smell in my nose when I inhale. This is been going on for about a month. I've tried flushing my nose with warm salt water. It helps occasionally but Does not last. I've taken Xithromax 250 mg b.i.d. for about seven days. It seemed to get better but then I stopped the medication And the foul odor came back. I'm a Podiatrist and thought possibly that I inhaled nail dust, And what I'm smelling might be a fungal infection In my sinuses. I do wear a mask In my office for protection While I'm treating patients. Why now after 30 years. I'm Thinking that maybe I need a culture done To rule out Fungal or bacterial infection. Or maybe a dental consult With X-ray to see if there is a mild abscess in/on the root of one of my upper molars.
Thanks for listening,
Dr. Vic F.
