I'm a Disabled Veteran: In 2001 cervical fusion (C-2 to T-1). In 2010 replacement fusion (C-2 t0 T-5). On 11.05.14 Lumbar fusion (L-1 to S-5).... due to earlier injuries and Scoliosis 30 degrees.... Now 15 months later, still having extreme lumbar muscle cramps, Acupuncture and many muscle relaxers and pain pills. PT ...NO help for pain relief received.... muscle cramps and "lightning bolts into feet" and up back. What do I do next, when I go back to V.A Hospital for chronic pain mgt. and relief. Have sent request for favorable input from Primary Care and Pain Mgt Dr. if Botox would help. I see them on 02.24. What is your opinion for this attempt at pain relief? Is it worth the potential down side of Botox treatment? I know it might mean injections once a month to every 3 months, for the next year potentially. I have been in constant pain for so long, I can't sleep but maybe 3 to 4.5 hours uninterrupted. Please help?
