Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I’m a concerned husband. My wife of 22 years and 42 years of age is losing her memory slowly and noticed it several years ago. She was severely injured as a child at 7 years of age by a big rock her brother had thrown in the air. She went to see a Dr who did a CAT Scan on her head and I guess ran some tests. I was not with her. He told her she had degenerative memory loss. No names such as Alzheimer’s or dementia were given.
What can I expect? What can I do? Second opinion? Will it kill her? I tell her we need to go see a specialist, she refuses as if she’s accepted her fate. I’m confused and feeling a little lost. Thank you for your responses.
