I'm A Male 60yrs Old I Have Pain In My

I'm a male 60yrs old I have pain in my left leg from my thigh down to my knee. pain is similar to a stiff neck or a strained muscle. it does not hurt if I m laying down or sitting only when I get up to walk around. I tried Ibuprofen but nothing helps. any ideas of what it is?
