I'm A Middle Aged Woman I Have Had Back Surgery

I'm a middle aged woman I have had back surgery about five years ago for herniated discs and pinched nerve in left leg. Now I had MRI done found out I have bulging discs and pinched nerve roots and large facet joints. I went to a referred neurosurgeon and he only suggested pain management and physical therapy stating that surgery would be invasive but I'm all about be the best I can and very active life. I fear if I don't get a treatment that Will really make a difference why bother. Advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you
