I'm A Very Brittle, Type 1 Diabetic With Uncontrolled Blood

I'm a very brittle, type 1 diabetic with uncontrolled blood sugar (33 yrs). Two days ago, I awoke with a 197 BG, the inability to see due to severe vertigo, the inability to feel pressure on all extremities, severe chest pain over my left breast only (dull ache, with occasional sharp, stabbing pain), and the inability to hear. We still have no idea why. All symptoms lasted for about 45 minutes, except the loud ringing and "whooshing" sound in the ears, which persisted for several hours. Eventually a very strong headache came on (after taking a nitroglycerin pill) and went away. I do currently have severe Cardiovascular Disease (2 blockages); However, my Cardiologist has ruled out a cardiovascular event completely. Oh, and it should be mentioned that my urinalysis report was unfavorable (red & white blood cells, blood, etc) but all other tests were fine. I'm concerned that this needs to be looked into from a Neurologic point-of-view, but have just discovered when I called today for an appointment that my doctor of several years, has left his practice. My question is: 1) Should I pursue this to the point of finding a new Neurologist sooner than later and 2) Can you recommend anyone in/near Lexington, KY? Thank you very much in advance for your expertise in this matter!
