I'm Allergic To The Synthetic Thyroid Medications And Was Put

I'm allergic to the synthetic thyroid medications and was put on Armour Thyroid a year ago ending up with a 60 mg tablet once a day before eating. I take it at 7:30 am and it makes me fall asleep for 3-6 hours. I've never had any of the typical thyroid symptoms apart from fatigue and attributed that to menopause. My blood tests BEFORE ANY THYROID MEDICiNE were as follows and I wonder if I truly need this drug? I am on no other medications as well.
T4, Free direct was 1.47 ref: 0.82-1.77
TSH was 2.300 ref: 0.450-4.500
Triiodothyronine,Free,Serum was 2.9 ref: 2.0-4.4
Thank you for your time.
