I'm Currently Being Treated For A UTI I'm On A

I'm currently being treated for a UTI I'm on a prescription of Macrobid twice a day after the second day of use I noticed that my symptoms of my UTI had improved but my labia and clitoris area are severely swollen and painful to touch walking movement aggravates it should I stop taking the Macrobid and alert my doctor or is this a common reaction to the medication?
