I'm Currently In The Hospital. 44 Male, Diabetic, High Blood

I'm currently in the hospital.
44 Male, Diabetic, high blood pressure, Gout,
I had a left thyroidectomy last year and still have the two parathyroids from this side with no post op complications.
I just had right side thyroidectomy last week making it a completion (biopsy showed one being removed which leaves me with three).
I was sent home and within days my calcium level dropped to where I had to be admitted (calcium was 6.5 with cramping) to receive Calcium IV.
Currently they just bumped me up to taking 8 of the .25mcg Calcitriol’s 4x a day which is 2 mcg for each dose, plus 1500 mg calcium chews 4 times a day and Vitamin D supplement. I'm also on Calcium IV drip. They are all stumped because my body is not absorbing calcium. The only way is through IV. They have also given me the calcitriol through IV which seemed to work a little. I was removed from IV last night when I was at 8.3 and this morning I was down to 7.7 I've been here since Monday and each night it is up and the following day it is down. Any idea why I would not be absorbing Calcium? Who would be the next DR to see about the calcium not being absorbed? So far the medical community here has told me they are all stumped.
