I'm Currently Taking Glipizide 10 Mg 2 Times A Day.

I'm currently taking Glipizide 10 mg 2 times a day. I've had Bladder cancer/removed neo bladder build, and had kidney stones removed after the Bladder surgery. My left kidney isn't in the best of shape..My question is, is there any other pill that I can take that won't mess with my kidneys and still help control my type 2? I'm allergic to metformin..
