I'm Currently Taking Oral Birth Control Pills. I've Been Taking

I'm currently taking oral birth control pills. I've been taking active pills since about mid May of this year. I finished my pack last Saturday but then the next day I realized some spotting so I didn't take any active pills on Monday or Tuesday to imitate withdrawal bleeding. I'm currently on my "period" but now it's just getting uncomfortable and I want to start active pills again today. Today would act as the first day of the new pack. Do you think my 2 day break from active pills is enough for the spotting to stop?
