I'm Experiencing A Very Rapid Tapping Sensation In My Left

I'm experiencing a very rapid tapping sensation in my left ear when I lie on my left side at night. It's much more rapid than my heartbeat, not painful, just annoying. Fortunately, it goes away if I lie in any other position, so it's not really keeping me awake. Any thoughts?
