I'm Experiencing Numbness Along The Outside Of My Big Toe,

I'm experiencing numbness along the outside of my big toe, but wearing certain styles of shoes really hurts . . . like pressure on a nerve there. Along with numbness on the bottom of the same foot along the outside edge. What are the possible causes for this . . . if they're not too numerous to mention.
