I'm Experiencing Pain Along The Outer Side Of My Right

I'm experiencing pain along the outer side of my right leg. It starts in my hip and shoots down to my knee, which is especially painful, and goes down to my ankle bone and outer side of my foot. Does that sound like a sprained back muscle or sciatic nerve pain?
