I'm Experiencing Pain In The Middle Of My Right Knee

I'm experiencing pain in the middle of my right knee and the pain worsens when I sit down or go down a flight of stairs. Several years ago, I had a torn meniscus repaired in my left knee and the pain seems all too familiar. Can you provide some insight? Thanks
