I'm Experiencing Pain/swelling In My Back Left Gum. I Had

I'm experiencing pain/swelling in my back left gum. I had all 4 of my wisdom teeth extracted a little over 4 months ago and ever since I have had various amounts of pain on the bottom left side. The gum on that side (facing my cheek) is notably more pronounced than the left side, hard, and tender to the touch. Oddly enough the pain is more noticeable when I push on that area from the outside of my cheek.. I notice it when I am washing my face in the shower. I went to my oral surgeon 2 months ago and he did an x-ray and dental exam and said everything was fine but prescribed a week of antibiotics just to be sure. It didn't help.. I gave it more time but 2 months went by and I went again because the pain got worse.. he examined my mouth and didn't really say much but to give it time. A few days went by and I felt like I needed a second opinion so I went and saw a dentist. He did an exam and xray.. He stated the xray was fine but he did note that my bone was more pronounced on this side.. this side is also the tooth that was the most impacted. It just seems weird to have this larger bony structure with tenderness still. It feels exactly like bone underneath the gum but much larger than the other side and tender. My gum is not discolored and there are no visible prominence's in my mouth. The dentist said I could of had that my entire life and the pain is just a delayed healing response. I find it hard to believe that I've had this bony-like growth my entire life and never noticed. What do you think of all this? I am really worried.. thanks!
