Im Feeling Hot And No Fever. Also My Throat Glands

Im feeling hot and no fever. Also my throat glands feel swollen. I was told Saturday that I had a sinus inffection. Ive been on amox tr since sunday. Still feel lousy, how long should anitbiotic take to really kick in?........thank you for your time.
