Im Going In For A Check Up On A Pilonidal

Im going in for a check up on a pilonidal abscess that was infected and was drained in the emergency room. The string never came out so i tried pulling it out and it hurt so i left it alone. The mext day it got way worse. I made a doctors appointment and im deathly afraid of needles. Especially the local anesthetic they used. I dont know if theres a way to do general anesthesia or something like that so i can have it removed. But i will absolutely refuse the local ansthetic.
