I'm Having Pain And Soreness On My Left Side Under

I'm having pain and soreness on my left side under my breast whenever I move a certain way or take a deep breathe. What could be causing it? I went to the ER, without X-ray s or anything the dr said it was a pulled muscle, but I haven't done anything that would cause that to happen.
