Im Having Serious Back Pain Like Directly In The Middle

Im having serious back pain like directly in the middle of my spine it hurts to twist to see behind me when sitting in a chair to check on my neice and nephew and it hurts reallly back to bend backwards. Should i have this checked out or just take some advil?
