I'm Having Severe Pains In My Abdomen When I Sit

I'm having severe pains in my abdomen when I sit down I have extremely sharp and sudden pain that causes me to literally throw myself on my side to get off my vagina area . Is this normal with the iud? I haven't had pain like this with it in I have had it in for over 2 years. So now I'm laying in bed on my side with a heating pad.
