I'm Having Shooting Pain In The Arch Of My Left

I'm having shooting pain in the arch of my left foot. It's swollen and painful to the touch. The pain began earlier today but was very mild. It gradually has built up and now the pain is very difficult at times. It hurts to move my toes. It is extremely painful if I try to extend my foot.
