Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I'm having some pain in my lower left leg that's seemingly random. It's sore, but occasionally ramps up to feeling like I'm about to have a charley horse. I haven't injured it (that I know of). I am a former smoker (quite 5+ years ago) and overweight, and my family has a history of strokes and clotting (my dad just threw a clot back in December). I don't know how to differentiate between a little tendonitis in my Achilles Tendon and the chance that I may have a clot causing me some pain, or how urgent it may be (the pain isn't terrible, just occasionally annoying because I limp).
Do I have time to wait to get an appointment with my doctor's office, or should I go to an Urgent Care?
