I'm In Florida And Have Been Fighting A Cough. It

I'm in Florida and have been fighting a cough. It started 2 weeks ago and I was given breathing treatment, steroids, and nasal spray. I was feeling better and then started coughing again. The other night I had a fever, chills, nausea which I threw up. Was checked at medical facility, lungs were clear but still coughing and pain in right side. Given cough pills and ibuprofen. Not any better, why???
